Need to get some input on the size of rototiller that a BX1500 can handle for some light gardening and lawn reno tasks.
Can a 1500 handle the Kubota B40C (37"), or a Howard HR4-88 (33"), HR4-105 (41") or HR4-125 (49") in light, sandy loam?
Recommendations from any BX1500 or BX1800 users/owners?
Thanks!

Keep in mind that your PTO horsepower on the 1500 is only 10.6. I have just ordered an MR-100 tiller from Carter and Carter Machinery. That's at ccmachinery.com. It's a 34" cut, pto and gear drive, with slip clutch (not that you're probably going to slip it with 10.6 HP).
I should get delivery on it this weekend or early next week. Will let you know how it works. It's also the cheapest I've seen of any of the tillers. $800.00 plus $175.00 shipping to a residence. About half the price of any others I have seen. It comes with the clutch and #4 pto. ....

41" might be pushing it, just make sure you can offset it enough to cover your track on one side. ....

Got my tiller in and the Kubota dealer cut the shaft down for me. It's a stubby thing once they got it cut down, but it works great. Used the tiller this weekend and it cut thru tree roots and even some buried concrete. It's a well built machine. ....
